There are a number of areas where the actual cost of a pilot boat will be in addition to this estimate. These areas are as follows:

(a) Pugwash, Nova Scotia, at any time during the year;
(b) Sheet Harbour, Nova Scotia, at any time during the year;
(c) Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, at any time during the year;
(d) Confederation Bridge, Prince Edward Island, at any time during the year;
(e) Holyrood, Newfoundland, at any time during the year;
(f) Humber Arm, Newfoundland and Labrador, during the period beginning on December 15 in one year and ending on April 15 in the next year;
(g) Stephenville, Newfoundland, at any time during the year;
(h) Miramichi, New Brunswick, at any time during the year;
(i) Restigouche, New Brunswick, at any time during the year; and
(j) Belledune, New Brunswick, at any time during the year.

The Pilotage Charge Calculator provides an estimate of the pilotage fees. It is not intended to be used to calculate complete invoiced amounts. If there are any discrepancies between the amounts calculated by this Calculator and actual invoiced amounts, the invoiced amounts will be taken as correct.

NOTE: A normal assignment into and out from a pilotage area is a Trip or Through Transit and a normal assignment within a compulsory pilotage area is a Move.
